Day 6 Sodus Point to Lake Side State Park

Today was a joyous day on the bike. 90 miles - the longest of the trip to date. I got rolling by 7:30am after saying my goodbyes to Johnny Mac and his tales of marriage, divorce, heart surgery, the trucking industry, hotrods, police work, etc, etc, etc.
Whew the guys was a nonstop record.

The day was cooler all day and made riding more enjoyable. By passed Rochester and a monster decent/ascent at Irondequoit Bay. After Rochester the roads were pretty much flat with nice views of the lake. I got to Hamlin State Park around 2:00pm and decided it was too early to quit riding for the day - even thou I had in 70 miles. Ate lunch at Hamlin and took my 1st swim in Lake Ontario - oh felt so good!! Tan line looks a little funny. 😎

I rode on another 20 miles to Lake Side Park and got a beautiful site on the Lake. Had fresh corn and blueberries with beer tonight! Fat and happy.

I'm think of sprinting to the finish tomorrow - over 100 miles but would save a day. I'm planning on it anyway and not washing any bike clothes for an extra day of riding.
