Hot- hot and more hot! Heat index today was in excess of 100 degrees! Glad I started early and took frequent breaks - no land speed records today! Left camp by 7:00am and made it to Sodas by 3:30pm - 65 miles. A lot of Drumlins and Eskers (aka - a crap load of steep hills)! Was expecting thunderstorms this afternoon but none have developed. I'm hoping that maybe we get one tonight - I just love a good thunderstorm.
Nice and quite camp tonight -compared to last night. I'm sharing a campsite with Johnny- Mac. Truck driver, preacher and ex-cop! Can't wait to hear what comes out of his mouth tonight! Hey but the camp site was only $5 including a shower! A lot of motorcycle riders (bikers) in this neck of the woods and as usual they are pretty decent folks.
Sodus Point is the a lot like Torch Lake but the Sandbar and Dockside are right together and their are five Docksides! A PARTY SCENE! Don't worry Jeannie I'm in camp and it's only 7:00pm.
